Meet Shelly Flynn, Registered Nurse and Myofascial Release Practitioner

Shelly’s Story

For 26 years, Shelly Flynn worked as a labor and delivery nurse, caring for mothers and babies through some of the most demanding and meaningful moments of life. Along the way, she noticed how much the body carries from pregnancy, childbirth, and everyday strain. Her own recovery from injuries introduced her to myofascial release, and she experienced firsthand how gentle, sustained pressure could help her body heal. That experience led her to begin offering myofascial release, first to people she knew and then to her wider community in Lake Elsinore.

Why Shelly Practices Myofascial Release

Myofascial release works on the fascia, the connective tissue that wraps around muscles and organs. When fascia becomes tight, it can limit movement and contribute to pain. Shelly’s background as a labor and delivery nurse gives her a clear understanding of how the body responds to pregnancy, birth, and recovery, and she brings that knowledge to every session. Her goal is to help each client feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

A Nurse’s Perspective on Care

Labor and delivery nursing trains you to watch closely, listen carefully, and respond calmly when something changes. Shelly brings those habits into every appointment. She pays attention to how a client moves, where tension sits, and how the body responds to pressure, and she adjusts each session to suit. For expectant mothers, that experience means understanding the physical demands of late pregnancy and the recovery that follows birth. For parents of newborns, it means working gently with the smallest patients. Clients who have visited the office often describe Shelly as kind, patient, and attentive.

Who Shelly Works With

Shelly’s practice serves adults with chronic or unexplained pain, people who have tried other treatments without lasting relief, and hypermobile clients. She also cares for expectant and new mothers, parents of newborns and infants, and children with minor injuries through OUCH appointments. Whatever brings you in, the goal is the same: relief that holds, delivered with patience and respect.
